Writer Marta McDowell will share tales of Beatrix Potter’s gardening life, including her botanical art, which appears in her "little books," and Potter's own garden in England's Lake District.
Sylvia Reiss will speak about the history of Connecticut stone walls. She is a collector and recorder of 18th and 19th century stone walls and will discuss the history and significance of these ecofacts, which are the signature legacy of New England. Mrs. Reiss is a former teacher, retired antiques dealer, and a past president of the Antiques Council, an international organization of antique dealers.
By popular demand, we welcome back Cathy Ritch for “hands on” flower arranging instruction.
