Committees

Civic Committee

reaches out to the community through gardening activities including tending to the planters and beds in the village, at Greenwich Point, and at various other locations in Old Greenwich. All club members participate on the Civic Committee.

Butterfly Garden Committee

cares for the garden located at Greenwich Point.

Conservation and Environmental Committee

educates the club about conservation and environmental concerns, drawing attention to important developments.

Design Committee

plans themes and flower designs for meetings and flower shows, and organizes workshops on design.

Directory Committee

publishes, edits, and updates the Club directory.

Finance Committee

organizes the budget and expenditures.

Garden Therapy Committee

supports community programs that help the disabled and elderly by organizing crafts and garden activities.

Horticulture Committee

helps members learn about plants, plans field trips, and organizes workshops.

Hospitality Committee

hosts the monthly meetings and yearly events.

Juniors Committee

creates educational programs for young people in the Old Greenwich community.

Membership Committee

maintains the membership list, presents completed new applications to the Executive Board, provides nametags for members, and takes attendance at events.

Plant Sale Committee

plans for our primary fund raiser held the Saturday before Mother’s Day. All club members participate in this event.

Program Committee

secures speakers for our monthly meetings and arranges field trips.

Publicity Committee

promotes club activities in the community through radio, our website, and social and print media.
