Eupatorium dubium ‘Little Joe’
Size / Sun / Conditions
3–4' tall, 2–3' wide. Full sun to part sun. Moist to average soil.
‘Little Joe’ offers the wildlife value and late-season color of Joe-Pye weed in a more manageable size. Domed clusters of soft mauve flowers appear in late summer, attracting butterflies and pollinators in abundance. Its sturdy stems and compact habit make it an excellent choice for perennial borders and pollinator gardens.
A well-balanced nativar, it retains the ecological value of the species while forming a denser, more garden-friendly clump. Unlike some newer dwarf introductions that can be sterile, ‘Little Joe’ remains a reliable source of nectar and supports pollinators as intended.
