Help us pack up seeds for the 2026 Perrot Seed Library. In keeping with the 250th anniversary, we have a patriotic theme. All of the annual flowers are either red, white, or blue and several are native to the Americas. We have also included some native perennial flowers. The veggies are either native to the americas or they were grown and written about by our founding fathers.
OPEN POLLINATED SEEDS
This year all of the seeds are open pollinated, which means that this year’s plants will produce seeds that can be reliably planted next year. Many hybrid plants do not come true to seed because they are the result of articificial pollination and the next generation will be a haphazard mix of the two original parents.
Open pollinated seeds can be gathered by the growers and replanted next year. This is the next step toward developing a self-sufficient seed library.
There is no charge for this event and you can take home some seeds for your own garden.
