1924 - Began a campaign to improve the landscaping at the railroad station. We still maintain the window boxes at the station.

1931 - Helen Binney Kitchel, our first president, petitioned successfully to change the name of our town from Sound Beach to Old Greenwich.

1932 - Began Arbor Day plantings of dogwoods, evergreens, and bulbs at Old Greenwich School.

1935 - Planted trees, shrubs, and hundreds of bulbs at Tomac Historic Burying Ground. 

1941 - Persuaded town officials to widen Sound Beach Avenue railroad underpass from one lane to two.

1945 - Restored Mrs. Tod's Secret Garden at Greenwich Point, now called the Seaside Garden

1965 - Deisgned, constructed, and planted the Bush-Holley Herb Garden with the Greenwich Historical Society.

1974 - Published "Trees to Remember" by Mary Jane Nickerson.

1984 - Began planting and maintenance of the Window Boxes in the Village.

1986 - Began planning for the Gateway Garden on Sound Beach Avenue at the Post Road.

1991 - Establish Garden Therapy programs at local nursing homes and rehab centers.

2003 - Began restoration of the Adams Cemetery.

2006 - Began planting the Butterfly Garden at Greenwich Point. Planted 2700 bulbs at Binney Park.

2009 - Worked with the Old Greenwich Association to plant daffodil bulbs on the hillside opposite of the Perrot Library.

2012 - Hosted "A Shore Thing" - a small standard Flower Show.
